Woman died after drinking five bottles of wine a day and vodka for breakfast

A mother who drank herself to death drank five bottles of wine a day and vodka for breakfast.
Vicky White drank around 330 units of alcohol every week before she died at the age of 38 from liver failure.
And now her family has spoken to MailOnline about their first Christmas since she died.
Boyfriend Steve Hough said: ‘Vicky didn’t want to drink and she tried so hard to stop, but it just controlled her. She became a different person.
‘She started drinking again two weeks before she died and she refused to take her medication. I knew from experience that trying to stop her would make her worse.
‘Like every family with young children, we always loved Christmas. But this year, our first without her, was hard.
‘All Mia wanted for Christmas was to have her mum back again.’

Mia had just turned seven when Vicky died and her son was 17.
Mr Hough described trying to stop her children seeing their mother in hospital because he didn’t want them to see her vomiting blood and unable to recognize them.
She featured on Panorama earlier this year because of her addiction to alcohol and in a bid to warn others about the problems of binge drinking.
She made repeated attempts to come off alcohol, but was unable to and eventually it claimed her life.
Mr Hough added: ‘She was our whole world. I know she tried so hard to stop drinking and I can’t feel angry or resentful towards her. I just feel a terrible sadness.
