After a long voting
operation which started yesterday in Lagos, APC delegates have voted Gen Muhammadu
Buhari as their Presidential flag bearer.
Buhari beats Atiku with
7214 votes to 954 votes. Buhari’s votes are still being counted but with the
above number it shows that the retired general is the winner.
Governor of Kano State, Rabiu
Kwankwaso is likely to finish in the 2nd place and Rochas
Okorocha takes the 4th place. Also the publisher of Leadership
newspaper Sam-Nda Isaiah’s came in last with no more than 10 votes.
However, Atiku
Abubakar has congratulated the APC presidential flag bearer Mohammadu Buhari
who emerged, today, the party’s candidate for the 2015 general election. In a
tweet signed by Atiku, he said: “Congratulations General Buhari. The delegates
have spoken, you fully deserve the victory -AA”.
