South African Billionaire Does Wonders, Donates Half Of His Wealth To The Poor

Image result for South African Billionaire Does The Unthinkable, Donates Half Of His Wealth To The PoorDoes it seem likely that a billionaire would promise to give away half his wealth for a worthy cause? As unlikely as that might sound, that is what South Africa’s only black billionaire Patrice Motsepe has pledged to do. Motsepe who has a net worth of $2.65 billion, has pledged to donate half his fortune to help the poor people in his country
Who is the man Patrice Motsepe?
Born in the Johannesburg township of Soweto in South Africa, Motsepe learned to be hardworking from childhood. His work ethic was instilled in him with the help of his father who made him work at his family’s convenience store at an early age. A lawyer by training, Motsepe acquired most of his wealth from the mining conglomerate African Rainbow Minerals which he founded in 1997. The publicly-traded company that specializes in the mining of several valuable minerals, including platinum and gold, was established at a time when the market for gold was closest to its three-decade low level.
Motsepe, who Celebrity Net Worth describes as a “literal prince” of the Tswana Tribe, is one of seven billionaires in South Africa and the country’s only black billionaire. He is the owner of the Pretoria based soccer club Mamelodi Sundowns.

Giving to the Poor
Drawing inspiration from people like Microsoft founder Bill Gates and business magnate Warren Buffett, Motsepe decided to give half of his tremendous wealth to the aid of the underprivileged. According to him, the plan had been there for a while to give half his wealth to the disadvantaged and marginalized people in the country, but he was working to tie up all the loose ends to ensure the mission is not derailed along the way.
The money would be channeled through the Motsepe Foundation to help address health and educational issues confronting the poor. According to BBC News, the black billionaire said his charitable gesture was also influenced by the spirit of “Ubuntu,” an African belief system which translates into “I am because you are.”
Motsepe is also one of more than 70 billionaires, including Gates and Buffett, who have joined The Giving Pledge. The campaign aims to bring notable and wealthy figures around the world together to contribute part of their wealth toward assisting underprivileged people. Gates, who started The Giving Pledge with Buffett in 2010, has commended Motsepe for his generous deed toward the less fortunate

Hackers Shut Down 20 Angolan Government Websites

Hackers have shut down about 20 Angolan government websites after 17 young activists were arrested for allegedly plotting a rebellion against President Jose Eduardo dos Santos’ government.
Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos CBS News….The websites were hacked by a Portuguese branch of Anonymous, an international hacking group. The group provided a list of the sites it had taken down on Facebook. At the time of reporting, many of the websites were still down.
The 17 youths arrested, including Angolan rapper Luaty Beirao, were sentenced to between two and eight-and-a-half years in prison.
Human rights groups have criticized the harsh sentences for the activists, who were arrested in June after discussing a book about non-violent resistance. The accused maintain that they are peaceful protestors merely calling on their president to step down.
Mr. dos Santos has ruled Angola since 1979

Military Jet Fighting Boko Haram Crashes at Yola Airport

Reports reaching us reveal that a military jet has crashed in Yola, Adamawa state with investigations going on to ascertain the number of casualties. A military fighter jet involved in the counter-insurgency operations in the Northeast on Wednesday night crashed at the Yola International Airport, according to the Punch.
Two pilots involved in the accident have been taken to an Air force military hospital for medical treatment.

One of Punch correspondents gathered that the crash was as a result of a burst tyre which occurred around 8pm on Wednesday when the fighter jet returning from a military operation tried to land at the runway of the Yola International Airport.

The two surviving pilots had succeeded in disembarking from the jet, but they however sustained injuries in the process.

It took the intervention of air safety officials to put out the fire which engulfed the aircraft immediately after it crash-landed. Military authorities in Adamawa State, especially the 37 Air Force Base Strike Group responsible for the aircraft involved in the counter-insurgency operations refused to comment on the crash, claiming that they did not have the authority to speak on the accident.

When asked to comment on the incident, the base spokesperson, Squadron Leader K. Ali, neither denied nor confirmed the crash. He asked one of their correspondents to contact Abuja because “I do not have the authority to speak on such matter.”

In Abuja, the Acting Director Defence Information, Brig. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, confirmed the incident. He told one of their correspondents that the military had commenced investigation into the cause of the accident.

He also said that the incident had nothing to do with “enemy fire.”
He said, “The Air Force aircraft skidded off the runway and stopped at a ditch. All those on board are unhurt and investigation into the minor incident is ongoing.”
Meanwhile, investigations revealed that Wednesday’s crash was the second of such an incident within two weeks. No live was lost in the two occasions.

One of the airport security operatives who did not want his identity revealed said the frequency of air crashes at the airport involving fighter jets was becoming a thing of worry to the military.

Donald Trump Goes Mad After Half-n*ked Photo of His Wife Surfaces Online

Donald Trump has threatened fellow Republican presidential candidate that he will have his pound of flesh back after half-n*ked photo of his wife went viral online. The race for the White House and Republican presidential nomination ticket has become a messy affair as unclad picture of Donald Trump's wife emerged online in an advert used by a Ted Cruz-supported advert. The photo was tweeted by British GQ.The photograph of Melania came from a 2000 GQ photoshoot and shows her lying unclad on a fur blanket. The ad was created by a super PAC called Make America Awesome, made it plain that the advert was not sponsored by Cruz or his team. But, the photo was meant to put people against Trump as it showed the whole world the man's almost nude wife.
Trump was totally angry and called Cruz a liar in his tweet. He also tweeted: "No need to spill the beans, an image is worth a thousand words".
However, Ted Cruz has replied Trump in the most appropriate manner. He wrote on his twitter account: "Pic of your wife not from us. Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you're more of a coward than I thought. #classless"

Barrack Obama Daughter Were Not Able To Meet Leo Messi

The president of the United States introduced his daughters to Pope Francis while in Argentina but the Barcelona star, back home on international duty, eluded themObama 'could not arrange' Messi meeting for daughters

Football fans all over the world dream of meeting Lionel Messi - but they may be disheartened to learn even arguably the most powerful man on the planet cannot pin down the Ballon d'Or winner.

Barack Obama, the president of the United States, revealed while speaking on a trip to Argentina that he had brought his daughters along to see the country and meet a couple of famous faces.

Sasha and Malia are still waiting for some time with Messi - but they did bag the consolation prize of bumping into another famous Argentine, Pope Francis.
"I also wanted to bring my daughters here, so they could see the beauty and the vibrancy of [Buenos Aires]," Obama said.
"They've already met one famous Argentinean - His Holiness Pope Francis. Now they want to meet Messi, but I could not arrange that."

They might have to stick around a while longer - Messi and Argentina have travelled to Chile for a rematch of the Copa America final on Thursday and will then return home to take on Bolivia.

The Kardashian Sisters Just Got Sued for $180 Million

The Sisters Kardashian are being sued for $180 million and being accused of fraud by a disgruntled investor in their makeup line.KARDASHIAN SISTERS

Hillair Capital Management is claiming that shortly after it invested in the makeup line, which was struggling after its distributor folded in 2014, the sisters began looking for a new partner to buy out the Hillair stake, reports the New York Daily News. The suit lays this out bluntly:
In short: the Kardashians wanted a better, more lucrative deal than they had struck with Hillair after the money to continue the line was already committed, and they used their ability to withhold their support of the line to attempt to force Hillair into a buyout of its interest.
It further alleges that Khloe Kardashian publicly disparaged the products in the line, obviously bad for the investment.
Lawyers for the Kardashians shot back, claiming the suit “is an obvious attempt to create leverage by hedge fund operators who took over the Kardashians' cosmetics brand.”
Requests for comment from both Fielding and the Kardashians were not immediately returned.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles.

A Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg Dead at 45

Malik Taylor, the rapper known as Phife Dawg whose nimble, clever rhymes helped launch A Tribe Called Quest to both commercial and critical success, died Wednesday at the age of 45. Rolling Stone has confirmed the rapper's death, though an official statement has yet to be released.

Tribe Called QuestWhile the cause of death has yet to be announced, Taylor had had health issues for years, undergoing a kidney transplant in 2008 to deal with a longtime battle with diabetes.

"It's really a sickness," Taylor said in Beats, Rhymes & Life, Michael Rapaport's candid 2011 documentary on the group. "Like straight-up drugs. I'm just addicted to sugar."

Health problems deterred Taylor from recording much solo material, though the rapper released his only solo album Ventilation: Da LP in 2000. Speaking to Rolling Stone last November, Taylor was tentatively optimistic about both his health and future recording plans.
"I am in a good spot, but I have my good days and I have my bad days," he said at the time. "But I'm more or less in a good spot, so I can't really complain." In the same interview, Taylor revealed plans to release the J Dilla-produced "Nutshell," the first single off a planned EP titled Give Thanks. The rapper released a video preview of the song, though a full version has yet to be released. Prior to his death, Taylor had also been at work on Muttymorphosis, his new LP that would have functioned as "basically my life story" that he hoped to have released later this year.
Taylor was born November 20th, 1970 in the Jamaica area of Queens, NY. Living in the same area as Q-Tip, he would meet his future groupmate at the age of 2, with the duo attending the same school and playing little league baseball together. "We were best friends," Q-Tip said in Beats, Rhymes & Life.
As recounted in the film, the rapper would visit his grandmother, a strict Seventh-day Adventist, on weekends and sneak in episodes of Soul Train for his early musical education. "When it came to block parties and hip-hop, once I saw them grab the mics and getting busy, I risked my livelihood getting kicked out of the house and everything just to be a part of it," Taylor said in the film.

At the age of 19, Taylor contributed verses to four songs on A Tribe Called Quest's 1990 debut album People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm, including an iconic verse on the group's third single, "Can I Kick It?" Despite the song's enduring appeal, Taylor himself was not happy with his contribution. "It's hard for me to get into 'Can I Kick It?' ... for the simple fact that I hated my voice back then," he told Rolling Stone. "It was high-pitched and [speaks in high-pitched voice] 'Mr. Dinkins' and I couldn't stand it. It's hard to listen to that album because of my voice. It's almost like, thank God I was only on four records."

Taylor moved to Atlanta from New York following the release of Marauders, a shift he claimed exacerbated the infighting that had been increasing in the group. Two more albums would follow — 1996's Dilla-co-produced Beats, Rhymes & Life and 1998's The Love Movement — though neither achieved the same success as previous efforts.
Following the group's dissolution, Taylor continued to battle diabetes, reuniting with the group for live shows, in part, to help defray medical costs. "Even though I knew I had [diabetes], I was in denial," Taylor said in the documentary. "I had to have my sugar. You have to accept it. If you don't accept it, it's going to kick your ass."
Last November, the group reissued People's Instinctive as the first of a massive reissue campaign. A Tribe Called Quest's Tonight Show performance of "Can I Kick It?" — their first televised performance in 15 years — would end up being the group's last.

Jehovah’s Witnesses to observe Christ’s Memorial Today Wednesday 23, 2016

Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide will be observing the Memorial of Christ’s death on March 23, 2016 at all their local Kingdom Halls – their place of worship.

The spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses at the world headquarters in New York, David A. Semonian, said the commemoration will include a discourse explaining why Jesus’ death which occurred almost 2000 years ago is relevant in modern times and how it inspires hope for the future.

“We would like as many people as possible to benefit from the spiritual guidance this ceremony will offer,” he said.
He said the event would enable all in attendance to reflect on the value of the two greatest expressions of love shown in the universe.

“Firstly, the love shown to mankind by our heavenly father Jehovah God by allowing his only-begotten Son to die for us; and secondly the love Jesus showed in giving up his life willingly for our salvation.”

Throughout the campaign, some eight million Witnesses around the globe will personally visit their neighbors to invite them to this event. Last year, nearly 20 million people attended the Memorial observance.

Jesus celebrated the Passover with his apostles, dismissed Judas Iscariot, and then instituted the Lord’s Evening Meal. This meal replaced the annual Jewish Passover and therefore Jehovah’s Witnesses rightfully observe the Memorial of Christ’s death once a year.

Mr. Semonian appealed to families, friends, relatives, acquaintances and the public to attend the event at the nearest Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

Belgians Identify Two Suspected Bombers In Brussels Blasts

Belgian police identified two suspected Islamic State suicide bombers captured on security cameras before they struck Brussels Airport on Tuesday in the first of two attacks that also hit the city's metro, public broadcaster RTBF said on Wednesday.
The death toll in the attacks on the Belgian capital, home to the European Union institutions and NATO, rose to at least 31 with more than 200 wounded, Health Minister Maggie De Block said on VRT television.
The Syrian-based Islamist militant group claimed responsibility four days after the arrest in Brussels of a prime suspect in November's Paris attacks. If confirmed, the identifications would link the Brussels blasts directly to the jailed Paris suspect, Salah Abdeslam.
The attacks sent shockwaves across Europe and around the world, with authorities racing to review security at airports and on public transport, and rekindled debate about European security cooperation and police methods.
RTBF, quoting a police source, named the suspected bombers as Khalid and Brahim El
Bakraoui, two brothers resident in Brussels and known to the security services for crime.
The newspaper DH said a third suspect seen with them before running away from the airport after the blasts was identified as Najim Laachraoui, 25, a man sought by police and directly linked to Abdeslam.
Khalid had rented under a false name the apartment in the city's Forest borough, where police hunting Abdeslam killed a gunman in a raid last week, RTBF said.
The Brussels blasts fueled political debate across the globe about how to combat militants.
"We can and we will defeat those who threaten the safety and security of people all around the world," said U.S. President Barack Obama.
Donald Trump, the front-runner for the Republican nomination to succeed Obama in November's U.S. election, suggested suspects could be tortured to avert such attacks.

Brussels police searched a house in the north of the city late into the night, turning up another bomb, an Islamic State flag and bomb-making chemicals in an apartment in the borough of Schaerbeek.
Local media said authorities had followed a tip from a taxi driver who may have driven the bombers to the airport.
Security experts believed the blasts, which killed about 20 people on a metro train running through the area that houses EU institutions, were probably in preparation before Friday's arrest of locally based French national Abdeslam, 26, whom prosecutors accuse of a key role in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.
He was caught and has been speaking to investigators after a shootout at an apartment in the south of the city a week ago, after which another Islamic State flag and explosives were found. It was unclear whether he had knowledge of the new attack or whether accomplices may have feared police were closing in.
Islamic State said in a statement that "caliphate soldiers, strapped with suicide vests and carrying explosive devices and machine guns" struck Zaventem airport and Maelbeek metro station.
It was not clear, however, that the attackers used vests. The suspects were photographed pushing bags on trolleys, and witnesses said many of the airport dead and wounded were hit mostly in the legs, possibly indicating blasts at floor level.
Officials said the final death tolls remained uncertain from the carnage in the morning rush hour, around 8 a.m. (0700 GMT) at the airport and shortly after 9 a.m. on the metro.
"A photograph of three male suspects was taken at Zaventem. Two of them seem to have committed suicide attacks. The third, wearing a light-colored jacket and a hat, is actively being sought," prosecutor Frederic Van Leeuw told a news conference.
The two men in dark clothes wore gloves on their left hands only. One security expert speculated they might have concealed detonators. The man in the hat was not wearing any gloves.
"If you recognize this individual or if you have information on this attack, please contact the investigators," a police wanted notice for the third man read. "Discretion assured."
Islamic State warned of "black days" for those fighting it in Syria and Iraq. Belgian warplanes have joined the coalition in the Middle East, but Brussels has long been a center of Islamist militancy.
About 300 Belgians are estimated to have fought with Islamists in Syria, making the country of 11 million the leading European exporter of foreign fighters and a focus of concern in France and other neighbors over its security capabilities.
"What we had feared has come to pass," said Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, vowing to face down the threat.
On Wednesday, he will host a prearranged visit by French Premier Manuel Valls, who declared: "We are at war."

Reviving arguments over Belgian policies following the Paris attacks, in which 130 people were killed in an operation apparently organized from Brussels, French Finance Minister Michel Sapin spoke of "naiveté" on the part of "certain leaders" in holding back from security crackdowns on Muslim communities.
Belgian Foreign Minister Didier Reynders retorted that each country should look to its own social problems, saying that France too had rough high-rise suburbs in which militants had become radicalized.
Life began to return to normal in Brussels on Wednesday, with some public transport working and cars returning to the European district, but the metro system remained closed and the airport was still shut to travelers.

Adele Pays Tribute To Brussels Victims During London Concert

In the wake of Tuesday's terrorist attacks in Brussels, Adele offered a moving tribute to the victims.
During the final night of her six-show London residency, the pop star asked the audience to turn on their phones to light up the entirety of The O2 Arena. Adele also asked for the screen behind her to turn on the crowd to show more of the lights.
"This is 'Make You Feel My Love,'" she said, "and this is for Brussels."

The attacks Tuesday morning at the Brussels Zaventem Airport and the Maelbeek subway station killed at least 34 people and injured at least 187 more, according to People.
Also in London, the premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice canceled red carpet interviews, but otherwise went on as planned.
"Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world," Warner Bros. said in a statement. "Rather than yield to terror, we've decided to join the film's fans and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v Superman this evening."
