Woman Caught Smuggling $10K Worth of Cocaine in Her Vagina at New York Airport

Any Broad City fan has been taught the vagina is the best place for weed safekeeping. But really any drug would work. One ride or die grandmother used her vagina in an attempt to smuggle heroin into prison for her son as did this young woman, though less successfully since she needed surgery to remove the heroin. Authorities report a woman was caught trying to smuggle $10K worth of cocaine in her vagina.
According to the New York Post the woman, Shekira Thompson, was busted at New York's John F. Kennedy airport. The NYP said Thompson—a U.S. citizen—arrived Sunday from Jamaica, where she’s from per the New York Daily News, and was taken by U.S. customs agents into a private room to search her.
The New York Daily News reports Thompson, 24, underwent a routine screening at 1 p.m. She was allegedly only taken for a second screening after she was seen "sweating profusely" writes the NYP citing a law enforcement source. Agents discovered the brown duct-taped package of cocaine in her vagina during the search they said. Authorities said the package was a half-pound or approximately 255.5 grams of cocaine, as the New York Daily News reports. The amount is valued at $10K.
Thompson lives in Queens, New York and has been booked for drug-trafficking.

Switzerland's Gianni Infantino has succeeded countryman Sepp Blatter as Fifa president.Image result for fifa new president
The Uefa secretary general polled 115 votes in round two, 27 more than closest rival Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa.

Prince Ali bin al-Hussein was third with four, while Jerome Champagne failed to get any. Tokyo Sexwale withdrew before voting began in Zurich.
The first round of voting had failed to determine an outright winner.

A simple majority of more than 50 per cent - 104 votes - was sufficient for victory in the second round.
Infantino is a 45-year-old lawyer from Brig in the Valais region of Switzerland, less than six miles from Blatter's hometown of Visp.
Blatter, who led world football's governing body since 1998, stood down last year and was later banned from football for six years.

Highlight Of How Barcelona Dealt With Arsenal

messi goldmynetv.jpeg1Neymar teed it up for Messi to slot home before he tucked away a penalty late in the game as the visitors took the lead in the Champions League last-16 tie.

Lionel Messi kept his cool to slot the ball home and put Barcelona ahead against Arsenal in the Champions League last 16 on 71 minutes
Lionel Messi’s late double secured a seemingly decisive first-leg advantage for Barcelona as the defending champions beat Arsenal 2-0 in an absorbing Champions League last-16 clash.

Messi to slot home before he tucked away a penalty late in the game as the visitors took the lead in the Champions  League last-16 tie Barcelona’s goal MSN are the most terrifying initials in sport right now. Messi, Suarez, Neymar. And all had a hand in Arsenal’s downfall here. Neymar fed Luis Suarez on the left and already Arsenal seemed stretched. There were as many forwards as defenders but, for some reason, there seemed more. Suarez slipped it inside to Neymar and most world class forwards in that position would have shot. Yet Barcelona have a socialist approach to goalscoring. Neymar sensed Messi was better placed and gave it up for the little man.

Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, making a rare start, missed a glorious chance as he shot straight at goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter StegenSuarez was played through in the area but Arsenal goalkeeper Cech was quick to race out and force the Uruguay international out wide

Drama as Asky Airline Prevents NLC President From Boarding a Plane

It was yet another drama at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport as the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Comrade Ayuba Wabba was prevented from boarding a plane to Togo by officials of Asky Airline.
As a result, the NLC has petitioned the Minister of Interior, Major General Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd) concerning the incident..
This was issued in a statement by the NLC secretariat  in Abuja, signed by its General Secretary, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson.
He explained that the officials of Asky Airline refused Comrade Wabba to board a plane even after he tendered his ECOWAS Travel Certificate duly issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria on behalf of ECOWAS.
According to the airline officials, the order to refuse Wabba to board the plane came from the Togolese Government. NLC wondered if the Government of Togo, a member of ECOWAS, does not recognize the travel document tendered by its president.
The statement reads, “Comrade Wabba’s ECOWAS travel document was issued on July 16, 2015 and has an expiration date of July 15, 2017.  He has used the same document to enter into Senegal and Ghana in the past.  We are not aware of the fact that the Republic of Togo has withdrawn its membership of ECOWAS.  And if it is a subsisting member of ECOWAS, we find it inexplicable that it could mete out this kind of treatment to travelers of Nigerian origin.

“We hold the view that Nigerians, wherever they are, are deserving of protection if they act within the law.  Comrade Ayuba Wabba was expected at Lome this morning for an activity of ITUC-Africa.  The disruption of his travel plan and by extension, denial of his participation at this major activity, has caused him considerable embarrassment as well as constituted a set-back to the Nigeria Labour Congress and Nigeria. Other Nigerians who have been so similarly treated, no doubt, have suffered various degrees of losse.

“In light of the above, we would wish to invite your intervention on this matter, at least, in order to save future occurrences.”
Dailytrust reveals that Immigration officials who witnessed this incident said many Nigerians have been subjected to this humiliating experience, adding  that at the time of ticket purchase, the Airline did not deem it necessary to warn prospective passengers of ECOWAS origin that the Togolese Government does not accept or recognize the ECOWAS Travel Certificate.
The NLC revealed that pages of Comrade Wabba’s ECOWAS Travel Certificate was copied to  Minister of Foreign Affairs; Executive Secretary, ECOWAS Commission; The Ambassador, Embassy of the Republic of Togo in Nigeria; and  Controller-General, Nigeria Immigration Service.

How Arsenal Will Line Up Against Barcelona

The Gunners take on the holders in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is under no illusions as to the size of the task ahead of his side when they take on "super favourites" Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Gunners will host the reigning champions in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night hoping to still be in the tie for the return leg in Barcelona next month.
Arsenal have been knocked out in the last 16 stage of Europe's elite competition in the last five seasons and it will take an almost perfect performance over the two games to prevent that unwanted record extending to six consecutive years.
Wenger spoke in his pre-match press conference about the need for "discipline" and he is likely to ask his side to defend deep, with the regular back five picking itself, especially as Gabriel remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

The Frenchman's main dilemma will be who to play in the band of three behind main striker Olivier Giroud. Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil will certainly start, but Wenger must choose between Theo Walcott, Joel Campbell and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Walcott's big-game experience and pace on the counter-attack means he is likeliest to get the nod in a line-up that may well be Wenger's first-choice starting XI.Arsenal will know what to expect from Barcelona - and in particular the Spanish champions' fearsome front three of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Messi has never scored against Petr Cech but the Arsenal goalkeeper may be in for a busy night on Tuesday.

Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic are in line to return to the starting line-up having been rested in the 2-1 victory over Las Palmas on Saturday, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Gerard Pique will also come into the side.

FA Cup: Chelsea Trash Man City 5-1

Manchester United 's manager, Manuel Pellegrini must be blaming his decision to field inexperienced team against the angry Chelsea side.
Chelsea punished Pellegrini’s controversial decision to field a remarkably inexperienced team as Eden Hazard inspired a 5-1 demolition of Manchester City in the FA Cup fifth round on Sunday.
With City due to make the long flight to the Ukraine on Monday ahead of their Champions League last 16 first leg tie at Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday, Pellegrini had pleaded with the FA not to bow to demands from television networks to move the Chelsea game from its original Saturday date.
But Pellegrini’s request was ignored and, concerned that injury-hit City were in danger of being stretched to breaking point, the Chilean boss prioritised European success and next weekend’s League Cup final against Liverpool, admitting that he didn’t consider the Stamford Bridge showdown “a real game”.
Pellegrini had warned fans they wouldn’t get value for money because he would rest stars like Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure and he was true to his word as he fielded an unrecognisable starting line-up featuring six teenagers, five of whom were making their full debuts.
In contrast, Guus Hiddink, with the luxury of having played in the Champions League already this week, named his strongest available side and it was men against boys as they swept into the quarter-finals thanks to a pair of assists and a goal from Hazard.
Diego Costa put Chelsea ahead and, although David Faupala equalised for the visitors, second half goals from Willian, Gary Cahill, Hazard and Bertrand Traore handed City a third successive defeat.
Although Pellegrini will face accusations of disrespecting the FA Cup, he won’t care about that if City can take a step towards the Champions League quarter-finals and win the League Cup this week.

Palestinian hunger strike challenges Israeli Policy

A Palestinian journalist has been on a hunger strike for 86 days to protest his "administrative detention" by Israel. Palestinian officials say he should be either charged or freed, while Israel says he is a suspected Hamas militant.
Mohammad al-Qiq, who was detained by Israeli forces in November, is on the 86th day of a hunger strike in a hospital in northern Israel. Doctors say he is becoming weaker by the day, his speech slow and laboured and that he is in pain.

On Friday (February 19), demonstrators in the West Bank city of Ramallah and in Gaza took to the streets calling for his release.
Israel placed Qiq in what it calls "administrative detention", a practice that has roots in British mandate Palestine. It allows a prisoner to be held for up to 60 days without charge and without viewing evidence against him and can be extended with court approval.

The United Nations, EU and rights groups have expressed concern about Qiq, who is refusing any food or medical treatment, and denounced administrative detention

: EFCC Re-Arraigns Dokpesi Over Re-Assignment Of Case For $2.1b Arms Fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday re-arraigned a former Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, before a Federal High Court in Abuja on six counts of money laundering and other charges relating to procurement fraud.????????????????????????????????????
The charges involve N2.1 billion, which he allegedly received from‎ the Office of the National Security Adviser between October 2014 and March 19, 2015 to prosecute Peoples Democratic Party’s 2015 presidential media campaign.
The re-arraignment followed the withdrawal of the case by the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, from the former trial judge, Justice Gabriel Kolawole, and the subsequent transfer of the matter to Justice James Tsoho.
Dokpesi and his firm, Daar Investment and Holdings Limited, had earlier denied the charges when they were initially arraigned before Justice Kolawole on December 9, 2015.
The judge had subsequently on December 14, 2015 granted bail to Dokpesi in the sum of N200 million with two sureties in like sum and fixed Wednesday for commencement of trial.
However, the trial could not begin as earlier scheduled due to the need for the matter to start afresh as a result of the transfer of the case to another judge.
Appearing before Justice Tsoho on Wednesday, Dokpesi, whose defence team is now being led by Chief Wole Olanipekun (SAN), again denied the charges as he earlier did during his initial arraignment.
The prosecution, led by Rotimi Jacobs (SAN),‎ accused Dokepsi and Daar Investment and Holdings Limited of receiving N2.1 billion from the office of the National Security Adviser between October 2014 and March 19, 2015 for the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential media campaign in breach of provisions of the Public Procurement Act, Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act and the EFCC (Establishment) Act.
Dokpesi rounded of his plea on Wednesday when the charges were read to him by responding: “Absolutely, absolutely and absolutely not guilty.”
Justice Tsoho granted a request by the lead defence lawyer, Olanipekun, to allow Dokpesi on bail in the same terms and conditions earlier granted him by Justice Kolawole.
The trial was adjourned till March 2 and 3.
