Jose Mourinho hints that he would join another English club if Chelsea ever dispose of him

The Special One was discussing his future as he gets ready to return to his former club Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League
Jose Mourinho, Chelsea, 07272014

Jose Mourinho insists he will only leave Chelsea if he is sacked, though he has not ruled out the possibility of one day managing a Premier League rival.
The Portuguese admits he would be willing to manage elsewhere in the Premier League but insists his priority is and will always be remaining at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho first departed Stamford Bridge in September 2007 after a breakdown in relations with Blues owner Roman Abramovich put an end to a trophy-laden three years in west London.
The Portuguese went on to achieve success in Italy and Spain with Inter and Real Madrid, but made a dramatic return to Chelsea in the summer of 2013 following the departure of Rafa Benitez.
It was widely reported at the time that Mourinho’s preferred choice for a return to England was succeeding Sir Alex Ferguson as Manchester United manager, only for the Scot to instead select David Moyes as his replacement.
But while the Special One will not dismiss his chances of ever managing another Premier League giant, he is adamant he is fully committed to Chelsea.
“If it had to be, yes,” Mourinho replied when asked if he would ever manage another English club.
“My priority will always be Chelsea and I never think about the interest of others. But I know football and know I won’t be here five, eight, ten years if I don’t manage to win. Of course not.
“That’s not my essence as a coach, because I don’t like to live in those comfort zones. It doesn't fit my personality.
I will only leave when they want me to leave. There’s no other country, club or investment that motivates me. I will only leave when Mr Abramovich calls me to tell me it’s over.
“Only on that day will I look for other solutions. But to answer the question, I will say that when I have to think about the matter, then we’ll see.”

Wonder Shall Never End- see India’s Tallest Family, A Staggering Combined Height Of 26 ft

They stand out wherever they go and now India’s tallest family is hoping to set a new world record with their combined height.
The Kulkarnis, from the city of Pune in the east of the country, tower above their countrymen.

Sharad Kulkarni, 52, stands at 7ft 1.5ins tall and his wife Sanjot, 46, is 6ft 2.6ins tall.

Their daughters Mruga, 22, and Sanya, 16, are 6ft 1ins and 6ft 4ins respectively.
The family’s combined height is a staggering 26ft.

Mr and Mrs Kulkarni were crowned India’s tallest couple by their country’s Limca Book of Records after they married in 1989.

They had hoped to be named the world’s tallest couple by the Guinness Book of Records, until it emerged that Wayne and Laurie Hallquist, from Stockton, California, stand a combined inch taller at 13ft 4ins.

Mr Kulkarni said: ‘We were a little disheartened. It’s nice to have recognition when you live your life being so different. It ends up meaning something. But we’re excited about new prospects.’

Growing up, Mr and Mrs Kulkarni faced years of teasing and ridicule.
When Mr Kulkarni hit 7ft as a teenager he ploughed his energies into sports and ended up playing basketball for his country.
But Mrs Kulkarni struggled to go unrecognised and fit in in the remote Indian village where she lived.
The pair began to accept early on in their teens that marriage one day might be difficult.
Mrs Kulkarni said: ‘It’s hard for a woman to be taller than a man in India. The man is the more authoritative role so I would never want to marry a smaller man and then him be ridiculed about his wife.
‘It was a big possibility that I’d never marry really.’

But Mrs Kulkarni’s grandmother spotted Mr Kulkarni walking down a street in Mumbai one evening and approached him.
Mr Kulkarni said: ‘This older lady came up to me and asked if I was married or single and would I meet her granddaughter who was over 6ft.
‘I didn’t believe her at first so I refused but my friends persuaded me to take her number.’
A few weeks later Mr Kulkarni’s parents called the number and a meeting was arranged for the potential couple, as is traditional in India.
Mr Kulkarni, who works at a bank, said: ‘Many women have claimed they’re 6ft but then, when we meet they’re only about 5ft 10ins and too small for me.
‘But when I met Sanjot I was happy she was well over 6ft. I knew we’d be happy together.’
The couple married in December 1988. A year later Limca Book of Records pronounced them India’s tallest married couple.

Now, along with their two grown-up daughters Mruga and Sanya, they hope to have the chance to be the world’s tallest family.
Mruga said: ‘I’m so excited. We love being tall.
‘So many people would love to be taller. I hear girls moan every day about their short height but we’re so happy and content.’2

Both Mruga and Sanya want to be models and hope that their height could give them a huge advantage in the industry.
Mruga said: ‘At the moment we’re studying and working hard on our exams but we’re trying to apply to model agencies and build up a portfolio.
‘We hope our height helps us get a long career in modelling. Husbands are a long way away yet.’
The Kulkarnis have wardrobes full of custom-made clothes and shoes. Shopping on the high street is impossible. Their shoe sizes range from 8 to 12 and they often order their footwear online from Europe.

Their house has been adapted to meet their needs – they had to change all the door frames from 6ft to 8ft high.
They have customised their furniture including beds, wardrobes, kitchen shelves, and even the height of the toilet.
But they never use public transport, preferring to travel on scooters. When flying is necessary, they ask for a front seat or emergency exit row.
Mruga said: ‘It’d be easier if we lived in Europe and lived around European open-mindedness. India can be very narrow-minded. But I wouldn’t change a thing.’
Guinness Book of Records does not currently have a tallest family category but would consider it.
Spokesman Anne-Lise Rouse said: ‘We do monitor this category so we’d like to know of any family that could potentially set this record and we’d then advise them.’

Amanda Bynes Arrested on DUI Charge

The 28-year-old actress was arrested on Sunday morning at 3 a.m. for DUI, the California Highway Patrol confirms to E! News. She has been charged with a misdemeanor after police "determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance" while driving. The former Nickelodeon star was held at the Van Nuys, Calif., station on $15,000 bail before she was released at 12:44 p.m. that same day.
According to officials, Bynes was traveling westbound on Riverside Drive in Sherman Oaks as she approached the intersection at a red light on Van Nuys Boulevard. She stopped for the red light, but she stopped in the middle of the intersection, at which point the actress was pulled over and "given a series of field sobriety tests, which she was unable to complete."
Bynes was then transported to the CPH West Valley Office where she was given a drug evaluation test that, according to officials, determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance (the substance is unknown).

Bynes downward spiral seemed to have reached an all-time low on July 22, 2013, when the starlet was detained on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold for setting a small fire in her parents' neighbor's driveway and underwent treatment at a hospital and rehab facility.
She was released from rehab in December 2013, following nearly sixth months of treatment and went on to enroll at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, where she seemed to be making great strides following her year of highly publicized struggles.
In April, Bynes' lawyer Tamar Arminak shot down reports claiming the actress suffers from schizophrenia. "There has been much speculation about Amanda's medical condition," her attorney said. "She has remained silent because she believed it was best to keep her mental health diagnosis private. However, she asked me to dispel certain rumors. For the record, Amanda does not have schizophrenia, nor has she ever been diagnosed with it."
"Amanda currently is on zero medication," Arminak continued. "She's devoted to living her life as healthy as possible. She's never had a history of abusing alcohol or hard drugs, and she's proud to say she's been marijuana-free for the past nine months."

Van Gaal backs Giggs to be next Manchester United manager

Van Gaal backs Giggs to be next Manchester United manager

The Dutchman was full of praise for the Welshman at a recent dinner and claimed the 40-year-old has worked "miracles" during his time as his assistant

The 40-year-old ended his 24-year playing career earlier this summer to take up a position as the Dutchman’s assistant.

Van Gaal, who gave a speech which lasted nearly seven minutes at a charity tribute dinner to Giggs at Old Trafford last Thursday, hailed the former midfielder’s transition into coaching and claims his new assistant has worked "miracles" in his new backroom role.

Van Gaal’s speech in full…

"I am wandering the streets in the evening because I have to spoil my woman. I am wandering the streets to pick out a restaurant in Manchester and in five metres I can walk and then 'I want a picture of you'. Then I say 'five points out of five matches?’ 'But we have confidence in you'.

"Because it is a great position, also, I have to admit it is not simple but I want to speak to you to give my promise that I shall do my utmost best and I have to say that all the players are doing their utmost best. I am very pleased with the behaviour of my players but I am more pleased with the guest of honors tonight [Giggs].

"I want to explain it. Because I am a popular coach, I put him in the center of attention tonight but he doesn't need it, he doesn't need it. But I am a coach who has given a lot of trainees in my period of manager training clubs, and in two months I have seen a human being, because I am always seeing not a training coach or a manager or a player, I see the human being. Today I have said in the press conference that we can make errors and we have to train, work and then we shall improve.

"But I have seen a lot of trainees and I have thought that Ryan Giggs is a trainee but he isn't a trainee, he is an exception. I have seen a lot of trainees and I am very happy with him because he has showed already that he can communicate with the group in front of him.

“And I have seen that he can explain what - how do you say in English? - What is the issue of the training session? And he can say it in a different way, which is a miracle because not so many ex-players can do that.

“But not only that, Ryan, you are in my opinion a very nice guy and that's for me the most important thing. Of course I admired Ryan Giggs as a player, maybe much more that you do.

"I do know now I've 'enticed' [provoked] you. I learnt that word off Mr Ryan Giggs. But he is so modest, so normal, and you [Giggs] are a great star. No, no, no, you have to listen. Because he is the star of the evening and really deserves that and I am convinced that you are - how do you call it in English? - 'Ok, this Van Gaal is over, he [Giggs] is the man!'."

Fashola calls for patience on Synagogue building collapse investigation

Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Monday said the government would follow due process in the investigation of the Sept. 12 building collapse at the Synagogue Church of Nations, Ikotun, near Lagos.
Fashola made the statement while receiving members of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners in Ikeja.
He said the government would not yield to pressure from some Nigerians, who wanted immediate action on the incident but would act methodically on the issue.
Fashola said most of the pronouncements made on the incident did not reflect what actually happened and called on people to stop making comments that could confuse the situation.
“On this issue, we are going to act methodically. We are going to act in a civilized manner. This is what we discussed at the State Executive Council today.
“We are not going to, without evidence, say this person has done wrong. Investigations are always painstaking and are done through scientific processes.
“This is the way that every civilized society develops. And we must assume that all the necessary provisions of law will be complied with. That is our track record here and nothing less will happen in this case, “he said.
Fashola described NITP as the state`s partner in progress and said his administration would continue to work with the association in ending the menace of building collapse in the state.
Chief Steve Onu, NITP National President, commended Fashola for his many interventionist strides in the state.
He said the association would continue to partner with the state in the area of infrastructural planning and environmental development.
On the Synagogue building collapse, Onu urged the state government to ensure that a thorough investigation was carried out to unearth the culprits of the disaster.
“This is a good opportunity at getting insight into the incidence of building collapse and know whether it happened by technical or natural occurrence,” he said. (NAN)
