Ghana Launches Wifi fitted BRT Services In Accra

Ghana has launched its own Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) System known as ‘Aayalolo’ in the country’s capital, Accra

imageThe Buses numbering about 85 for the first phase has been fitted with WI-FI and USB cables to encourage patronage.The project, being implemented under the Urban Transport Project, is funded by the World Bank, Agence Francaise de Development, government and Global Environment Facility Trust Fund at a cost of $95 million. It is being executed by Ghana’s Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Ministry of Roads and Highways, with the Department of Urban Roads as the implementing agency.
