20 Injured And 3 Killed As BIAFRAN Soldier Clash In ONITSHA

According to recent reports, about 20 persons were injured and 3 killed following a clash between Navy personnel and members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) in Onitsha, Anambra State.
Though there have been rather conflicting reports as regards to  the  number of casualties following the clash  with the Biafra – members, some sources said about 10 persons were shot dead while other sources said  between three and  five persons were  allegedly killed when the Naval officers from the Odekpe  Naval Post , drafted to Uga junction for on the spot check,  had  a misunderstanding that led to the bloody clash near Premier Breweries Onitsha along the Enugu-Onitsha expressway.
The Biafra members were said to be preaching to the people of Onitsha about making Biafra a reality.
An eyewitness, who is said to be member of Biafra and pleaded to be anonymous, stated that several members of theirs  sustained injures following the clash, and  that the dead bodies of his colleagues as well as those  injured were taken to the Borromeo Hospital in Nkpor, near Onitsha.
However, all efforts to get the Commander of the Naval Post were futile as his numbers were not connecting. Hence there has been immense tension building up in Onitsha, following the incident, as eyewitnesses confirm that the attack was uncalled for in the first place.
