14-yr old boy who stabbed Nigerian Teacher in the UK jailed for 11 years

A 'racist' 14-year-old schoolboy who stabbed his teacher in the stomach because he didn't like being disciplined by a black man has been jailed for 11 years.
The teenager, of Pakistani origin, admitted a charge of causing grievous bodily harm against Vincent Uzomah at Dixons Kings Academy in Bradford.

The boy was described by others as "disruptive and a bully" and had taken a dislike to Mr Uzomah in the seven weeks he had worked at the school.
Prosecutor said the boy told a friend the previous day that he was planning to stab a teacher and took a knife with a "substantial blade" into school on June 11, discussing his plans with other pupils.
He stabbed Mr Uzomah after a row over his mobile phone, the court was told

He said:
"He approached Mr Uzomah and reached into his pocket but at that point he took out the knife and stabbed Mr Uzomah in the stomach.Mr Uzomah thought he was going to die."]The teen later boasted of what he had done on Facebook writing: "the m*****f****r gettin funny so I stick the blade straight in his tummy."

In a victim impact statement, Mr Uzomah said he found it "hard to understand" why others had 'liked' this Facebook status.
Sentencing the boy, Judge Durham Hall said the boastful Facebook comments following the stabbing were "sick."
  • The 69 'likes' attributed to the status, were "an appalling reflection of a small microcosm of our society", the judge added.
Mr Uzomah said the stabbing "has left psychological scars on my life and the life of my family".
