The Lagos State Government’s suspend probe why the Synagogue Church of All Nations guest house collapsed.

The Lagos State Government’s probe on why the Synagogue Church of All Nations guest house collapsed has been suspended.
The collapsed building, Prophet T.B. Joshua

The State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Lateef Ibirogba, revealed this yesterday and said that  the probe is pending the outcome of another probe panel set up by the Federal Government.
The Lagos state government had to take this decision to allow the Federal Government’s men to finish off their probe and not disturb each other.
Ibirogba said: “We have some issues coming up. We would not want to do anything that will embarrass anyone, ourselves or compromise ongoing investigation being carried out by others. This is why we are putting this off; please bear with us”.
He explained that the reason the FG set up the panel was because nationals of other countries were involved in the disaster.
The commissioner said: “we don’t want to pre-empt the committee or sentence anyone before comprehensive report. Agencies of government are working, with representatives of the state government. Together, they will make their findings known as soon as they are through.”
The South African Government had requested that the FG organize a quick probe to explain the reason for the building collapse due to losing many South African national in the tragedy

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), shortly after the conclusion of rescue operations, had put the total number of the dead at 86.
