NIgerian Dude Scam an Australian Woman of $350,000 of her Life Savings.
Jan Marshall thought she'd finally found love, but not only has she had her heart broken, her life savings of $350,000 have been ripped away.
Ms Marshall, 61, signed up to dating website Plenty of Fish in the hope of finding love and matched with one 'Eamon Donegal Dubhlainn'. 
The scammers posted this photo (left) of the man supposed to be Eamon Donegal Dubhlainn, who proposed to Jan Marshall after a few weeks of online and phone conversations in which she accepted a marriage proposal.
Little did she know that Eamon Donegal Dubhlainn didn't exist, and his profile was invented and managed by a group of fraudsters in Nigeria that specifically targeted Ms Marshall. Ms Marshall told Daily Mail Australia.
'I hadn’t had a lot of relationships before and I quickly got approached by someone who claimed to be an engineer in America, and he said "I would be happy to go anywhere for the right person", that’s apparently what they say,''We continued to communicate and very quickly he got me on email and phone and then instant messenger.'
But there was always a technical problem when they were supposed to video chat. The fraudsters provided her two photos, naming 'the man' as 'Eamon Donegal Dubhlainn'.
'He then said he was moving back to England and said "we will be together very shortly, you are a special person and I want to communicate just with you".'Within a month it got very serious and he asked me to marry him, and I accepted, I was fully drawn into his love and attention.''Several friends tried to warn me, when you were in these things they cut you off from your friends, encourage you to disassociate with them,' she admitted.'They (the scammers) tell you that no one understands what we have, afterwards I had to go back to family and friends – your initial reaction is of shock shame and embarrassment.''They talk to you morning, noon and night, they are professional and manipulative fraudsters, that’s the truth of the matter, just calling them "scammers" trivialises what they do,' she added.A network of people duped her including fake nurses and doctors after the man apparently had an accident on the way to the airport. around this photo of a man they called Eamon Donegal Dubhlainn, an engineer in the United States
'We are not stupid, we are manipulated, we are groomed just the same as child abuse victims are, in a sense we are caught in a honeymoon stage and then you are not really acting normally.''He'd returned to England and then supposedly took a short-term contract in Dubai and promised he'd come onto Australia six to eight weeks after that,' Ms Marshall said.'Once he said he was in Dubai, the money requests started, initially he said he had to pay some taxes he hadn’t allowed for.'It all happened over six weeks, and I only paid out to him expecting to get it back.'And then it was money for businessmaterials, and it got worse, he supposedly got robbed on the way to pay those taxes,' she added.
More excuses and elaborate stories began to build, as did Jan Marshall's expenses.
'It was always amounts like $40,000, which I gave to him twice, then he said he was in trouble with those he'd contracted work to and had to buy out the contract for $77,000,' she said.'The larger amounts went to bank accounts, those of $40,000 and $30,000 went through Western Union, even thought there is a limit of $10,000 and I was doing it in multiples of 10.Then, when he was apparently on his way to the airport (to come to Australia) he had a car crash and was in hospital, they had other people like nurses and doctors contact you, a document showing the expenses and others playing other roles,' she said.'I didn’t realise it was a scam until he got on a plane to England, he said “I’m on my way now, thanks for everything", it wasn’t until then that I realised.
'He would always say "I am a wealthy man but I can’t access my funds".'I would pay over $270,000 to them, that included savings, additional credit and ultimately I took money out of a self-managed super fund, which I wasn't supposed to do and which now has me in strife with the the tax office.'I have a $76,000 tax bill on the super and that is at 46 per cent interest.'I am a professional person, in a well paid job, and my friends say that if they lined up 10 people in a line to see who would be caught out that I wouldn’t have been the last one to have been duped by a scam like this.'
Now Ms Marshall is fighting the Australian Taxation Office, which is pursuing her for $76,000 after she accessed her superannuation for the 'man'.
'The only follow up I received is that the money was collected in Nigeria, though I had sent it toDubai,'It left me in a lot of strife, I gave him money from my pay, I had to borrow money to get through that first month, I closed down a lot of discretionary spending and I am still in strife in credit card and tax office debt,' she warned.
'I have been scared off (relationships), I have come to terms with it but haven’t wanted to go out there, quite honestly it has had a lasting affect.'

Huawei and Qualcomm test 600 Mbit/s LTE CAT11
Network company Huawei has joined forces with mobile chip player Qualcomm to complete tests using LTE CAT11, which achieves a peak data rate of 600 Mbit/s by aggregating three carriers, each using 256QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation).
For both companies this test provided the opportunity to flex their R&D muscle. Huawei got to show off its SingleRAN solutions while Qualcomm was able to publicize its next-generation Snapdragon modem, which can support an aggregate bandwidth of 60 MHz. While neither are new, both companies were keen to highlight carrier aggregation (CA) and 256QAM.
“In 2015, there will be a global surge in LTE-A construction with operators starting to consider the large-scale deployment of 3CC CA,” said David Wang, President of Wireless Network Product Line at Huawei. “256QAM will also soon be put into commercial use with the maturing of the industry chain. The success of these tests represents another milestone in the developing commercialization of LTE-A and 256QAM. It shows that terminals are capable of both 3CC CA and 256QAM. We will continue to work together with our global partners in advancing technologies and promoting the global development of mobile broadband.”

She was the most Outstanding student in her major, Economics and got inducted into 6 academic honor societies. She was also chosen to give the commencement address to the class of 2015 at her school.

Man Beaten To Coma in Lagos Airport By Airforce Men
There was fracas Monday at the international
terminal wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos when two airmen in charge
of traffic control at the departure section of the terminal beat a Federal
Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) staff to coma. It was learnt that
the FAAN staff, Mohammed Shuaibu who works at the protocol and passages of the
agency told his friend to come and pick him at the airport, but when he arrived
the airmen moved to remove the plate numbers of his car for parking longer
than necessary. But at that moment Shuaibu came in and begged the Nigerian Air
Force personnel not to take away the plate numbers. According to an eye witness account, Shuaibu who
was wearing FAAN staff uniform introduced himself and showed his identity card
but an argument ensued and there was confrontation and the airmen descended on
him.
Shuaibu was beaten by
the airmen until he collapsed with blood oozing from his nostrils and he began
to lose his breath as his heart beat slowed, sources said.

According to the story (which I can't verify), he/she was flying (as an animal) very early in the morning around 5am but became weak and decided to rest. (this is what Ghanaians are saying). Then fell into a deep sleep only to wake up later naked & surrounded by people who had called the police.

Couple In Michigan Welcome There 13th Son
Kateri and Jay
Schwandt, a Rockford, Michigan, couple who have 12 sons, welcomed their 13th boy to the world on Wednesday. Kateri,
40, gave birth a few days after her May 9 due date, according to ABC News. The
baby weighed about 9 lbs (4.08kg) and was 22 inches long.
“I just assumed we’d
have another boy because we know what we’re doing," she said at the
time." It turns out she was right.
The couples' other children
range in age from 1 1/2 to 22 years old. They named their 13th son
Francisco.
The
couple observes a tradition of waiting until birth to find out the sex of their
babies. Although Jay told ABC that " having one more boy is pretty
cool," he had hoped for a girl.
“I’ve
experienced all the boy stuff, as long as we are having all these children, it
would be really neat to experience the other side.”
Kateri
saw things differently.
“Why change things up?” She
said “At this point, at this stage in the game, a little girl, we’d have to
re-learn everything.”
They have
a 15 seater van to take their children everywhere and fortunately their oldest
son just got his driver's license so he can help out with driving the children
to places.
The odds
of a couple having 13 sons in a row are about 1 in 8,000, according to CNN --
roughly the same chances as those of having natural triplets.
The Dad
said even he desperately wants a girl, they don't intend to try for another
child anytime soon.

I just stumbled on this on the social media on one Mr.
Henri Obiazi’s Facebook page where
he alleged that this woman identified as Hon. Munirat Adedoyin, a former Vice
Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government in Lagos, who is also said vying for the
Chairmanship position of the same Local Government was allegedly caught
recently in the act of attempting to use a child for ritual as depicted in the
picture above.
According
to the post by Mr. Henry Obiazi, “Mrs.Munirat Adedoyin. She is the former
Deputy Chairman of Ikorodu local Government Area. She is about to contest for
the position of the Chairman of the local government. She was caught in the act
by some good ‘Samaritans’ and the information and the photographs were passed
to security agencies.”
Obiazi
further commented on the post; “Efforts made so far to apprehend this extremely
wicked woman are being frustrated by a High court judge in Ikorodu who granted
an exparte order restraining the police from arresting the woman pending the
determination of the motion on notice for the enforcement of her fundamental
rights.”
“The women
have abandoned her house and only her lawyer knows her whereabouts. Those pix. Must
have been taken secretly. I am also as curious as anybody else.”
“She
has not been charged. In the process of trying to arrest her, she filed an
application for the enforcement of her fundamental rights.”
“However,
the police filed its response and annexed some exhibits including the
photographs. The application was filed last year October, and in March this
year rather than the court taking the main motion, it took the ex-parte motion
and granted all the reliefs prayed. The expert order expires after 14 days
according to high court civil procedure rules.”
“Efforts
are still in progress to arrest this wicked and crooked woman. She is trying to

21 Youth Gay caught with 122 condoms in Ibadan.
Twenty-one young men under the age of 25 have been arrested
in Nigeria for being in a 'gay cult'.The young men, who were caught with 122
condoms between them, were held in an Ibadan police station last week.
According to Gaystar news,when police flooded
the house, the officers accused them of holding an 'initiation' ceremony into
their 'evil' group.
They had no formal charge against them, but
relied on the presence of the condoms with no female present. They also claimed
they received a tip saying the occupants of the room were gay.
The organizer of the event told officials that
it was actually just a birthday party and they had nothing to do with any
'cult'.
All 21 were immediately taken into the police
station.Human rights organization The Initiative for Equal
Rights(TIER) received a call on 10 May and
immediately started helping the young men.
A spokesperson said:
'At the point of arrest, the young men were physically
assaulted and treated in a manner unbecoming of any legal process: they were
photographed in their underwear, made to write statements under duress and
locked up in an overcrowded cell.'
While the police wished to
refuse bail and transfer the case to the state courts, a lawyer from the International Center for
Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights (INCRESE) managed to allow them to pay
for their freedom.
The individuals were given varying bail
notices, from 5,000 Nigerian naira ($25, €22) to 10,000 naira ($50, €44). The
organizer of the party had to pay 21,000 Nigerian naira ($105, €92).
They did not want to appeal against their
treatment in case it would lead them to being outed and branded as gay.
While 11 had family and friends to bail them out, 10 were left in
detention.
When all 21 returned to the police station on
Thursday (14 May), it was alleged the police further extorted more money from
each of them before they were allowed to leave.
Xenophobia: South Africa repatriates 5,645 immigrants
South Africa has repatriated
5,645 foreigners since the end of xenophobic attacks in late April, the
government said yesterday. A Minister in the Presidency, Jeff Radebe, who said
this in a statement, added that the foreigners chose to leave South Africa
voluntarily.
Malawians
made up the bulk of the foreigners, numbering 3,506, followed by Zimbabweans
(1,440) Mozambicans (682), while Tanzanians had (17). Mr. Radebe said the
repatriation process started soon after the latest spate of xenophobic violence
ended in April.
"The Department of Social Development continues to work
closely with other relevant departments, as well as civil society organisations
to provide support to displaced foreign nationals,” Mr. Radebe said. The
official also said over 1,000 foreigners received trauma counseling.
According
to the statement, 10 women with children under 12 months of which three had
just given birth were flown to their respective countries on their insistence.
Mr. Radebe further said the department would continue to do its work to ensure
that the underlying socio-economic issues that gave rise to tensions between
South Africans and foreign nationals were dealt with.
He
also defended the current Operation Fiela (meaning “sweep’’ in Sesotho
language) launched after the end of the xenophobia attacks. He said the
operation was meant to address the security challenges in a structured and
coordinated manner.
