Few months ago, Nigerians were locked down on their Television screens, watching the thrilling Big Brother Nigeria on Muiltichoice digital station (DSTV & GOTV) We followed 12 carefully selected individuals into the house and laughed at the fun and drama they provided to us every single day. Being a show that virtually every Nigerian was watching, one can say that we had an idea of the kind of person every one of them was. We got accustomed to their witty or phlegmatic personalities, understood their characters, and watched them play a game or out of fronts.
However, there is so much about each of them that we got to learn about while they were in the house. Now that they’re out, some of them have gone ahead to do great things and some others have started stirring their own kinds of controversies and even more drama. Particularly, we are interested in what the top finalists of the house are up to.
Are they already setting things in place for their successes, or are they just living off the fame the acquired from the house. Here’s a summary of some of the things our top 3 finalists are up to.
EFE
Winner of Big Brother Nigeria, Efe Michael Ejeba , has been up to so much and has received so much recognition since he took home a brand new SUV and 25 Million Naira. For one, he has been invited for so many reputable events and has met with some of the big guns in Nigeria like the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, as well as the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Solomon Dalung. He has received a Chieftaincy title from Delta State and has been made the Youth Ambassador of Nigeria by Youths and Sports Minister.Beyond the many press action he has been getting, he went ahead to release a track titled “Based on Logistics”, for his fans. The song was from his popular line while in the house and it has received mixed ratings since its release. The song is expected to be the first of many, as Efe is expected to push his music career far. #BASEONLOGISTIC
- BISOLA
Bisola Aiyeola had already been somewhat of a celebrity before she entered the house. She had been a runner up on Project Fame, and had starred in a bunch of little movies.
Her fan base was at a steady growing rate, until she got into the Big Brother Nigeria house and her fame suddenly skyrocketed. She emerged the first runner up and won the ONE Campaign Task Prize, thus earning the opportunity to speak at the United Nations to generate awareness for the education of the girl child.More so, she has started making major moves in her music career.
She just recently has landed her first major deal with the creative agency, Temple Management Company (TMC), working with her previous Project Fame Star, Iyanya. Also, she has been starring in a number of adverts and television series as well. The multi-talented Bisola has also made it clear that we should expect more from her in music, movies and other socially responsible or give-back projects. We can’t wait to see how far she soars.
TBOSS
The Queen of #BossNation and arguably the most controversial housemate in the house, we already know that TBoss’s fame would go beyond the confines of the Big Brother Nigeria house. While she has some of the most loyal fans and even more haters, Tokunbo Idowu has started making bold steps to shine brighter than all of the challenges she has faced to get to where she is. As the second runner up and winner of the PayPorte Arena games, she was given a cheque of 500,000 Naira.
However, she has certainly made much more than that since she left the house. While she has revealed plans to kick-start a career in acting as well as hosting a radio show which she hopes to develop into a television programme, she has done a few things already. First, she is making her acting debut in an upcoming movie “Kada River” alongside Joke Silva, Rachel Oniga, and many others. Next, she too has being part of a number of adverts. The diva has promoted food brands, clothing brands, and has even been part of club promotions. We can say that she hasn’t done bad for herself at all.
